Yes. Our pattern cutting training is practical intensive. Each student has access to a table, chair and pattern tools so that you can work without disturbance. The class is limited to 6 students per session. That way, the facilitator is able to concentrate and assist each student individually till they achieve the desired confidence and skill in pattern cutting.

Yes. Our pattern cutting training starts from the basics. It is specifically designed for those who are new to pattern cutting and want to have a solid foundation in pattern cutting.

We emphasize that students have basic sewing knowledge. Being able to use the sewing equipment is necessary, but you don't have to be a professional.

If you are not sure about your skill level and would like to clarify, we are more than happy to have a chat with you and answer your questions. Kindly reach us and expect a response within 24 hours.

For the physical session, we provide all the tools needed for the training. That way, students are able to use the tools during the class and also keep them after the class. However, for the online class, we do not provide tools for the student. Each person is responsible for getting the tools required.

Our pattern cutting class is - 3 weeks for weekday session and 12 weeks for weekend session. From our experience, this is enough for you to learn pattern cutting from basics. After gaining the foundational knowledge and basic pattern cutting skills, we provide practical session to reinforce the skill and encourage our students to practice more in order to master the skill. 

The good part about our training is that every student has unlimited access to the facilitator after the class. So if you encounter any difficulty, you can easily contact your trainer and they will respond to you almost immediately.

From our experience, we have been able to streamline the reasons why fashion designers contact us for pattern making training.

To give you an idea, each student is given access to a design table for practical sessions. The classroom is insulated from outside noise and distractions. No, we currently do not teach how to sew. However, we share sewing knowledge and tips with the students in class.

Kindly note that all our tutors have sewing background and can sew professionally. We are currently working on expanding our classes to include sewing lesson starting from 2023. Kindly read more about it here.

Over the years, our pattern cutting techniques have been developed through our knowledge, experience, and use. In the class, we used a self-design method to teach and make references to pattern text books written by popular authors such as Helen Armstrong, and Winifred Aldrich. 

Be aware that we have trained over 1000 fashion designers in our method. Therefore, it is a tested and tried method of pattern design that is easy to learn and use for daily sewing.

Yes, we assure you our tutors are professionals. They are very knowledgeable and have been the teaching pattern making for more than 4 years. Each tutor has experience in both sewing and pattern cutting, hence they are able to provide adequate guidance to our students.

The student has access to the tutors even after the training to help with any difficulty faced in pattern cutting.

Yes. We maintain open access with our past students so they can reach us when they encounter new problems in pattern cutting.

We teach and encourage our students to try hard and difficult designs. As a result, we are always available to provide the necessary support to ensure they become masters in pattern cutting. 

No. Our training content covers only female pattern cutting techniques. 

We are in the process of launching our male pattern cutting techniques. We will announce when this is available.

No, we do not teach grading in our pattern cutting class. Grading is for advance pattern cutters. This means that for you to learn grading, you must be comfortable with pattern cutting already and familiar with digital pattern cutting.

Sewing of samples for now isn't included in our services yet, but we don't include alteration charges in our price list. So we advice our clients to always do a sample size patterns first before requesting for other sizes.

We have both online and physical training sessions.

Physical session

Our physical training hold at our studio in . The students come for the lectures in person, either from Monday - Thursday for weekday classes or Saturday only for weekend classes. They are provided with a manual, tools and learning environment for both lectures and practical sessions.

Online session

Our online class are for those who prefer digital means for one reason or another. The videos are pre-recorded with quality camera, lighting and technology gadgets to ensure the best experience for our online audience. Our online class has been used by over 350 students from all over the world.

Kindly note that whether physical or online class, all students are taught the same materials and they all have access to the tutor to help with any issue.

From the content perspective, there is no difference between our online and physical classes. Every module taught online is also covered in the physical class.

The only difference is that online students have the choice to select any of the pattern cutting training they want to learn. While in the physical class, all aspects of the pattern cutting course is covered regardless of your previous experience.
